What you’re about to see, is a horrifying event. At first, I chose not to say anything, and to just offer my prayer in silence and that she may rest in peace. But every time I see her face in the monitor and hear news about her, I can’t help but feel guilty. I feel guilty not because I chose to ignore the inhuman cause of her death, but rather, I feel guilty because I chose to be blind and deaf, but ENOUGH is ENOUGH! To the animals living in shit holes who manage to cut this young woman’s life, Allah will take good care of your asses soon, that even hell won’t accept you! JUSTICE FOR NEDA SOLTANI!!! JUSTICE FOR OUR IRANIAN BROTHERS AND SISTERS!!!
What has happened is quite shocking.
But, these things happen. The material world is a dangerous place. Death and misery is part of the package of living in this world.
The only solution is to become Krishna Conscious and share it with others.
Raving and ranting and using dirty words on this website doesn’t help in any way. Your cursing those responsible for this death also doesn’t change anything. These things will happen again.
Hare Krishna
Indeed this thing happens, that’s why the more I feel the need to tell the world that she don’t deserve this. We maybe devotees can just easily say that just be Krishna Conscious, coz it’s part of the material world, it’s karma, and so on. But, don’t forget that we’re also human beings! Have a little bit of sympathy and don’t just be absolute, and just say calmly that this thing things happen and will happen again. Have you ever tried putting yourself on the situation that her family and love ones has to go through?
Hare Krishna! I am horrified at the video. It is so shocking to view the termination of such a young life. I am so saddened by this turn of events in Iran. The price of justice and freedom in Iran is death! What is the point of all the Islamisation that they pride themselves with? If the very word Islam means peace where is it now?
The untimely termination of this young life will not go in vain. Her death will signal the downfall of this theocratic lunacy that has plagued the ancient country of Iran for more than 3 decades. Our prayers to the Lord to show mercy to this soul whose innocent intent was to be free. My hearfelt condolences to her family, friends and fellow justice seekers. Haribol!
Oi, Hari! This is Malati Prabhu’s blog and she is free to use any words she likes. Raving and ranting is what people tend to do on their PERSONAL blogs. You have the choice to read it or not.
We know the solution to everything is to become KC and share it with others. But clearly, in this case it is not such a simple thing to say.
Justice must be fought for. If we callously think or say that Neda deserved what she got then where is our compassion. I wonder how you would feel if this were a case of animal cruelty…perhaps you would have more compassionate words.
Thank you Malati for writing about this on your blog. My prayers go out to the people of Iran suffering through this crisis. Hare Krishna~
Hare Krishna Mandakini Prabhu,
Thank you so much for explaining it nicely to him. You are my knight in shining armor, for I am desperate on how to put it in words without offending anybody.
I can see in your facebook account that you’re having a blast on your vacation. I hope we’ll meet again on one of the festivals this summer. Hare Krishna!
You are welcome dearie 🙂 I don’t want to offend anyone either, but sometimes people can be so narrow minded. Devotees will not have the respect of the general population until we show that we are able to be sensitive and give compassion where it is needed. We are not robots.
I personally think that people who make comments like the one above are trying to imitate Srila Prabhupada. Your personal blog is no place for this guy to try to make a preaching example of this young woman’s murder. Perhaps in a SB class or something. Being tactful and being more discriminating about the context in which current events are used for preaching are so important.
I hope i see you sometime this summer too! Are you going to DC? Did you go to 24 hour kirtan? My husband was there.
